Opera 9.x compatibility

I just discovered inputEx, but like it very much and want to use it on a project that needs Opera 9 support. I noticed some examples appear to be broken in Opera (using 9.6.4). E.g. the typeInvite option for a string field, when focused, the gray text does not disappear and text entered remains gray instead of changing to black. Also, none of the showMsg options worked in Opera.
Let me know if you'd like me to continue to report Opera bugs.
